Claims Service Representative – Hybrid Opportunity

Wayne, PA

We are seeking a highly motivated Claims Service Representative to join our Personal Lines Equipment Claims team. In this hybrid role, you will deliver a distinctive customer experience while following established claims management standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle personal lines residential equipment and service line claims.
  • Make prompt customer contact and set expectations for the claim process.
  • Conduct telephonic investigations with policyholders and repair companies; collaborate with external partners (e.g., property carrier adjusters and insurance agents).
  • Develop a plan for claim evaluation, investigate the cause of loss, and assess damages.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required by state.
  • 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing, financial, or service-oriented role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in the property/casualty insurance industry and/or as a claims adjuster.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Strong customer awareness and emotional intelligence, with an advocacy mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Success in this role:

  • Maintain timely claim handling, clear documentation, and accurate file notes.
  • Communicate coverage decisions and next steps clearly and professionally.
  • Partner effectively with policyholders, vendors, agents, and carrier adjusters to resolve claims.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment while balancing customer experience with cost-effective outcomes.
