Summer Leadership Development Program

Take a deep dive into the world of resinsurance

Munich Re’s Summer Leadership Development Program (SLDP) is an immersive 12-week internship designed for rising seniors (junior undergraduates or first-year master’s students). It offers a deep dive into the world of (re)insurance, exposure to industry-leading practices, and a pathway to full-time positions after graduation.

Duration: 12 weeks 
Start date: May 
Recruitment timeline: between August and November 
Hiring areas: Underwriting, Claims

What we're looking for:

We’re seeking ambitious, well-rounded students who are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, global business.

Eligibility: 

  • Junior undergraduate or first-year master’s student 
  • GPA of 3.25 or higher 
  • Valid work authorization in the country of application 

Preferred qualities: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities 
  • Emotional intelligence and teamwork skills 
  • Tech-savviness and curiosity 
  • Proven leadership in academic, extracurricular, or community activities 
  • Interest in the (re)insurance or financial services industry
