Munich Re Retakaful is Munich Re Group’s worldwide Retakaful operations business, focusing on providing Islamic Retakaful solutions to our clients in Malaysia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

We are looking for a Insurance / Law / Finance Intern to support our Risk and Compliance department. You will report to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and will also work with other associates within Munich Re Retakaful.

Your Job

  • Support the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer in matters relating to the needs of business functions;
  • Assist the management of day-to-day operational risk and compliance matters, including regulatory review, drafting of contracts or agreements, gap analysis and so on.
  • Provide support and assistance on AMLA and financial sanction-related matters
  • Coordinating requests and responses to and from regulators, stakeholders and Munich parent group

Your Profile

  • University Degree in Insurance, Law, Risk Management, Finance and other related fields.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, and have sound writing and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed time management skills, ability to work independently while supporting teamwork and a keen attitude to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of the Takaful business model is advantageous.
  • The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur.
