Loss Control Coordinator Intern – Summer 2026

The Opportunity

The Loss Control Coordinator Internwill work on projects that exposes the Intern to opportunities to improve our insureds risk management process and will expand their understanding of property and casualty risks in the real world.

This internship role will be based in New York City.

Responsibilities:

  • Communications Project
    • Analyze Submitted Recommendations in the Loss Control Recommendation Tool
    • Cross Reference “Top Ten” Recommendation Types to existing MRS NA Loss Control documents
    • Task MRS NA LC to create new documents to match “Top Ten” Recommendation Types when existing documents do not exist.
    • Create Process Flow to create communications to our insureds delivering Risk Management information to reduce hazards and control exposures at their sites.
  • Recommendation Tracking
    • Identify overdue recommendations for Loss Control Action

Job Requirements:

  • Major: Risk Management, Industrial Engineering
  • Grade Level – rising junior (2028) and senior (2027) undergraduates
  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Data analysis
  • Project tracking
  • Client communications and interaction

This role is based in New York, NY. The base range for this internship will be $23 - $24 per hour. The hourly estimate displayed represents the typical hourly range for candidates hired in this position in NYC. Factors that may be used to determine your actual rate will include your specific skills, level of schooling and how many years of experience.
