ISO Auditor - Non-Exclusive Contractor
Located in the Midwest USA
An auditor that performs ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 audits which includes travel to customers, review their quality systems, provide feedback to customers and writes a report identifying findings or recomending certification. This does not require exclusive contract with HSB and is part time.
Responsible to learn and be in compliance of HSB Registration Service’s Quality Management System.
Responsible for scheduling their own audits with customers, preparing the audit plan and other audit documentation.
Responsible for leading customer audits which includes following developed audit plan, assigning varying audit tasks to other auditors, defining corrective actions, conducting an audit meeting (discussing results with customer) and audit follow up activities.
Responsible to submit business related expenses in compliance with the company Travel and Expense requirements.
The Auditor will be provided with a notice to schedule audits 60 days in advance. Audit days range from 1-5 days typically.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- Associates’ degree desired in Quality Control, Mechanical Engineering, Program Management, Business Management, Contract Management or equivalent.
- 2 years experience performing external Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and 45001 Occupational Health and Safety. Preference given to 14001 and 45001 experience.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing setting with a preference for ASME boiler and pressure vessel equipment requirements.
- Sales and business management experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Working knowledge of ISO standards
- Excellent communications skills and technical writing
- Demonstrated interpersonal and team skills including customer interaction in person, by phone, or email in support for audit team tasks
- Ability to prioritze tasks and schedule time with minimal supervision and direction
