Senior Information Security Expert (m/f/x)

Your central role:

• Design, lead, and operate the group-wide Information Security (IS) Risk Management (RM) for the companies of the ERGO Group as part of the 2nd Line of Defense Information Security Team
• Develop and optimize training materials for stakeholders in the IS RM process, collaborating with ISOs within the IS RM process and guiding the structure and protection needs analysis
• Develop and integrate controls, measures, and policies based on expert knowledge to meet ERGO's information security requirements, including creating and delivering management-quality presentations
• Coordinate, manage, and oversee the establishment of risk treatment measures for information security risks and contribute to the creation of risk reporting for information security. Ensure appropriate assessment and treatment of information security risks within the ERGO Group
• Consider requirements for Individual Data Processing (IDV) from relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, VAIT) and continuously develop IDV guidelines (such as policies, methodologies, and controls). Ensure quality of IDV vulnerability analysis

Your profile:

• Completed degree preferably in Computer Science. Alternatively, a completed vocational training with an IT background and relevant further education
• Several years of professional experience, ideally in the field of information security
• Experience with regulatory requirements such as DORA, VAIT, and BSI-Kritis V
• Specific expertise in relevant security standards and a certification (e.g., ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CISA, CISM, CISSP) is desirable
• Strong analytical skills, structured and results-oriented work style, high quality standards, and a sense of responsibility for work results
• Audience-appropriate communication and confident presentation of complex issues at all hierarchy levels, high willingness to cooperate, enjoyment of teamwork, and good English skills, both written and spoken
