Manager Controlling Germany (m/f/x)
Your central role:
- Coordinate the ERGO planning process, including the creation of the planning calendar and preparation of planning sessions
- Actively support the department head both substantively and organizationally on various cross-cutting topics, taking responsibility for coordinating and managing overarching tasks, including the further development of the Controlling Germany target model
- Review selected investment projects, provide economic support, comment on business cases, and monitor financial performance
- Project management and control of cross-departmental projects, as well as participation in projects
- Handle special tasks and ad-hoc inquiries, prepare special analyses/evaluations and decision-making documents
Your profile:
- Successfully completed degree in Business Administration or Mathematics with relevant focuses (Finance, Controlling, Accounting), preferably with completed actuarial training
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position and area of responsibility, ideally in an internationally oriented insurance group/company, with solid knowledge of the organization, processes, and operations of insurance companies, as well as in-depth knowledge of the business fields/models of ERGO
- Very good knowledge of methods and tools in corporate governance, controlling, and business analysis. Analytical thinking with a strong numerical understanding and expertise in assessing complex business issues, and the ability to present them clearly both verbally and graphically. Knowledge of accounting according to HGB and IFRS, as well as project management experience, is desirable
- High level of initiative and willingness to perform with an independent, systematic, and results-oriented working style, strong team spirit, quick comprehension, confident and persuasive demeanor, high assertiveness, and excellent communication skills
- Good English skills, both written and spoken, and proficient in standard office software, ideally with experience in data analysis tools and dashboards
