Primary objectives:

As a market-facing product expert, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and forward-thinking risk solutions while ensuring an exceptional client experience. You will focus on attracting new clients and growing relationships with existing ones, helping to expand your portfolio and strengthen HSB’s presence in the market. Representing HSB at industry events, conferences, and associations will also be a key part of your role. As a member of our Canadian business development team, you will be assigned a territory and provided with a company vehicle.


Responsibilities:

  • Promote all HSB products and develop strategic sales plans to drive profitable growth, building customer loyalty and customer satisfaction
  • Strategically manage your assigned territory using effective time and resource planning.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with brokers, MGA partners, and client companies.
  • Identify opportunities through research, networking and lead generation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with overall goals
  • Deliver educational sessions and presentations, and support marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor pipeline activity and client engagement to meet or exceed growth objectives.
  • Execute sales strategy that aligns with business goals while staying adaptable to market changes

Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma.
  • CIP designation or currently working toward it (an asset but not mandatory).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in sales, business development, or client relationship management within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Strong presentation, communication, networking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proven sales and business development acumen to identify and close opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM
  • Valid driver’s license (territory travel required).
  • Technical knowledge or an interest in engineering or risk solutions is a plus.
