FAQ
What is the difference between the trainee programme and a direct entry?
In the International Graduate Trainee Programme, you’ll rotate through different departments, take part in structured training modules, and even spend time abroad. The focus is on building a broad skill set and supporting your personal development step by step.
With direct entry as a graduate, you start right away in a permanent role within a specific team. You learn on the job and take responsibility from day one, but without the structured rotations and training elements of the programme
Which areas of the company do you get to know during the trainee programme?
Each trainee is based in a home business unit, where you build in-depth knowledge of a specific area. On top of that, you’ll complete two rotations in other departments in Munich, plus a 12-week rotation abroad. This mix allows you to experience different parts of the company, expand your network, and gain both specialist and international insights.
What are the working hours for a trainee?
The weekly working hours for a trainee are 37 hours. We also offer flexible working hours, supporting your ability to balance family, leisure, and your career.
Can I apply for more than one position in the International Graduate Trainee Programme at the same time?
Yes, you can apply for multiple positions. You’ll only need to complete the online test once. However, since each role has specific requirements, we recommend applying only for positions that best match your academic background and work experience.
When can I apply for the trainee programme?
Our trainee positions are advertised once a year, and you can submit your application at any time. We recommend applying at least four months before your preferred start date to ensure a smooth selection and onboarding process.
What should my online application include?
Your application should include your CV, all relevant academic certificates and transcripts (e.g. high school, bachelor’s, master’s, PhD), as well as any reference letters from practical experience. A cover letter is not mandatory, but it can help strengthen your application.
Is there an age limit for applicants?
No, there is no age limit for our trainee programme. Provided you meet the eligibility criteria detailed within the “What we’re looking for”, we encourage you to apply.
Is it possible to be taken on after completing the trainee programme?
Our trainees are hired directly at the start of the programme with a permanent employment contract.
What networking is available?
