for pupils in Munich

Gain a sneak preview into the world of reinsurance

You haven’t finalized your summer plans yet? Take the opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the world of reinsurance with Munich Re before finishing school. During our two-week summer internship, you’ll discover what we do as a Reinsurer and why our employees find their work both exciting and rewarding. 

Duration: 2 weeks 
Start: August 3, 2026 
End: August 14, 2026 
Application deadline: The end of January of the year in which you 'd like to do the internship.

Please note: As places are limited, we may not be able to offer a spot to all applicants.

What's in it for you?

Get a first-hand look at Munich Re, one of the world’s leading reinsurers: 
- Look over the shoulders of our experts during their daily work, while our vocational trainees guide and support you throughout the internship  
- Instead of fetching coffee, you’ll gain real insights, practical knowledge, and experiences to help with your career decisions

- Your commitment and curiosity will be recognised with a stipend of 300 euros. 
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a project addressing a current topic, and present your results to supervisors at the end of the programme

What we're looking for

- Genuine interest in the reinsurance industry 
- Motivation and curiosity to learn something new every day 
- Currently in 10th or 11th grade of a Gymnasium or 9th grade of a Realschule 
- At least 15 years old and not yet completed school education
