Our International Graduate Trainee Programme offers you exciting insights and a thorough introduction to the diverse activities of a leading global reinsurer. This provides you with the exceptional opportunity to advance your expertise and drive your personal development.

Over a period of 24 months, including an international assignment, you will receive in-depth training in professional, methodological and social skills, which will qualify you for assuming responsibility at Munich Re worldwide. Your Job

  • Working on exciting and varied topics focusing on risk assessment. You will learn to take decisions on large and complex life insurance risks as well as support and drive the digitalization of our Underwriting business. These risks include medical risks as well as the question of financial appropriateness, risky pastime activities, occupation and travel risks. At the same time, you will also learn about consulting, as we advise our customers on important market and product issues.
  • Create visually compelling and content-rich presentations using PowerPoint and Excel to communicate complex topics clearly and effectively
  • Experience the opportunities and insights offered by one of the world's leading risk managers
  • Participate in an international assignment of three months to broaden your intercultural experience
  • Acquire profound knowledge of our business as a as well as further developing your soft skills in our distinguished global learning programme
  • Take the opportunity to quickly build a broad network of industry experts within Munich Re worldwide

Your Profile

  • University degree in (bio)medicine, epidemiology, (public) health, pharmacy or a similar degree
  • Initial work experience (e.g. internships or up to two years of work experience after graduation), ideally in a relevant field
  • Strong analytical skills, programming skills and/or data analytics skills  (e.g. Python, Power BI, VBA) are very beneficial
  • At least three months of experience abroad (studies or internship/work experience abroad)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and German required, additional European languages are an advantage
