Claims Financial Specialist
Work closely with business partners to understand business needs and requirements to ensure financial processing is complete, accurate and timely according to HSB’s value proposition. and develop and implement financial processes and controls for new or enhanced insurance products. Manage Claims reporting and review and create monthly reporting on Client Company payments. Process payments outside of Claims system or Accounts Payable. Partner and assist other members of the Claims Operations Team with projects, enhancements or production issues.
Education and Experience
- College degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in P&C Claims environment
- CPCU, AIC, ARM, CIC, SCLA or other professional designation or work towards such designation
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong customer focus and ability to partner with internal and external customers/business partners
- Good communications skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent systems and application skills (e.g. Guidewire ClaimCenter, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
- Ability to foster teamwork to include conflict resolution
- Understanding of Claims and insurance industry
