Title: Customer Service Rep. I

Location: The company currently adheres to a hybrid work model, requiring two to three days per month of worktime spent in our Amelia, Ohio office. Remote work schedules may be discussed during the interview process for those with a commute to or from the Amelia, Ohio office of over 60 minutes.

Hours : The call center typically operates Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and you can expect to work a shift between these hours.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls for our policy holders, agents, lenders, and strategic accounts for all lines of business.
  • Provide written communication when requested such as policy documents, paid receipts, lender verifications, and email follow up etc.
  • Use multiple computer applications on multiple computer screens at once; scheduling system, policy management systems, and various tools to assist.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Underwriting, Sales, Claims, Accounting.
  • Maintain individual metrics in terms of performance and attendance, while demonstrating flexibility when it comes to shifts, upskilling, and skillsets based on business need. Be willing to upskill and potentially become a Licensed Agent.
  • Deliver a personalized customer experience by addressing the specific needs of each caller and developing a thoughtful compliant solution.
  • Ensure a distraction-free and professional work environment.

 Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and various computer applications for servicing/quoting all products
  • Strong professional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask; such as talking on the phone while typing or taking multiple chats at once
  • Strong organization skills and time management skills
  • De-escalation skills; ability to calm down an intense situation
  • Flexible and versatile in handling high volumes of customer communications, including phone calls, live chats, and email correspondence
  • Installation and usage of required equipment, including hardwiring into a router via ethernet cord
  • Can meet required internet speeds based on department requirements

Background Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Customer Service experience

Preferred Background:

  • Higher education (Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree)
  • Call center experience
  • Insurance experience
  • P&C License
