FAQ

How can I make my résumé stand out as an early-career candidate?

Highlight tangible achievements and relevant projects that show your skills in action. Lead with a strong professional summary that captures your goals and strengths. Use clear, results-oriented bullet points that quantify impact, and emphasize leadership, teamwork, or extracurricular experience that demonstrates initiative and growth.

How should I prepare for virtual interviews?

Research the company and the role thoroughly so you can speak confidently about your fit. Test your technology in advance - camera, microphone, and connection - and choose a quiet, well-lit space with a neutral background. Dress professionally, maintain eye contact with the camera, and engage actively throughout the conversation. A brief, polite thank-you email afterward leaves a positive impression.

What makes underwriting an exciting career path?

Underwriting is both analytical and strategic. It challenges you to assess risk, interpret data, and make decisions that directly shape business outcomes. It offers exposure to diverse industries, continuous learning, and the opportunity to build expertise in areas like renewable energy, technology, and cyber risk. It’s a career that combines problem-solving, business acumen, and impact every day.
