Munich Re Specialty Global Markets North America (MRSGM N.A.) is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as we grow. As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and customs bonds with in-house claims solutions.

We are seeking a full time Associate Account Manager, Surety Bondsto join the Roanoke Insurance Group division as a hybrid employee in our Schaumburg, IL office reporting to the Regional Product Manager, Surety Bonds.

Job Description

• In accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined by management, to necessary to maintain and grow bond business
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, underwriters, and peers
• Utilize all available resources in order to properly obtain/maintain underwriting information
• Maintain follow-up system to ensure requests are processed timely
• Communicate regularly with the sales staff to advise them of relevant account information
• Assist in premium collections when necessary
• Provide backup for other staff as needed
• Projects as assigned by management
• Take bond requests and use underwriting authority sensibly and provide approval or request for more information to clients in a timely fashion (strive for same day turnaround)
• Prepare and file bond paperwork as requested by clients
• Assist with other aspects of client service for house accounts as assigned, including requests for underwriting information, rider requests
• Identify new business opportunities and refer to Management

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills to explain and provide our products in a prompt and accurate fashion
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• P&C Producer License in domicile state
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions, problem solve and think on your feet
• Proficiency with written and oral communication; ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner with an appropriate level of detail, empathy and professionalism
• Strong organizational skills to maintain digital files and paperwork in an orderly and accurate manner
• Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team in a positive and professional manner
• Experience in standard Microsoft programs (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel) and strong aptitude for learning proprietary software
• Ability to function effectively in an office environment and remotely
• Comfortable working with numbers and percentages

MRSGM N.A. is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Schaumburg, IL. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s Schaumburg, IL location. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $53,000 to $80,000. In addition, the Company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401k match, paid holidays, sick time, and paid vacation. The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Schaumburg, IL. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
