Munich Re America Services (MRAS) IT Business Solutions delivers business value through the management of IT products including implementation of change projects in a disciplined, business focused, engaged and methodical way to Munich Re Global Specialty Insurance (GSI) organization.

The  Oracle Accounting Foundation Cloud Service/ OFSAA Tech lead will be responsible for driving the transformation initiatives and implementing systems and processes for GSI finance transformation landscape, ensuring efficient planning, execution and management of the overall technical capabilities aligned with the business vision of the future state GSI Finance system operations and KPIs. This role will be reporting to Head of Subsection in charge for Finance Transformation delivery, setting up this practice in support or efficiently managing the GSI Finance system being implemented and day to day maintenance of the AFCS modules and platform.  Resource will be ensuring alignment with implementation of standardized operations measures across GSI Product development and delivery that follows our Munich Re standard solutions, aligned to risk and compliance requirements, to cover the financial and insurance operational capabilities of GSI.

This role will be part of a cross-functional agile team that is geographically distributed to deliver high-quality digital solutions across a broad range of innovation initiatives, while championing high quality and consistent delivery practices. The Oracle ERP Cloud Financial Lead will guide clients through project implementations of Oracle Cloud ERP Financials Applications, collaborate with teams, analyze systems, and support testing and go-live phases. Responsibilities include refining requirements, developing solutions, and leading post-production support.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead specializing in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) for the insurance domain, with strong expertise in Insurance Analyzer and Accounting Foundation Cloud Service (AFCS). This role will lead the design, development, and delivery of technical solutions to support the data required for insurance accounting, reporting and reconciliation, and drive high quality implementation of OFSAA/ AFCS, Insurance Accounting Analyzer and cloud-based financial architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end technical implementation of Oracle Insurance Analyzer, Accounting Foundation Cloud Service (AFCS), and other OFSAA modules such as FSDF.
  • Define and implement complex configurations and customizations within Insurance Analyzer, especially around actuarial and transaction data for insurance calculations
  • Design and oversee integration of insurance data (policy, claims, premium, reinsurance) into the AFCS and Insurance Analyzer platforms.
  • Architect and manage data ingestion, staging, and transformation pipelines using integration tools e.g. Data Integration Hub (DIH) and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Implement data flows within AFCS, integrating results from Insurance Analyzer to sub-ledger accounting systems.
  • Guide a technical team in OFSAA/AFCS development, batch jobs, PL/SQL scripting, mapping rules, and reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate with functional teams, actuaries, and finance teams to align technical solutions with business logic and compliance needs.
  • Oversee the development of test plans, design of test cases, and execution of testing activities to ensure thorough coverage and high-quality output
  • Manage relationships with internal and external suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Troubleshoot performance and integration issues across the OFSAA/ AFCS/ Insurance Analyzer provide technical resolution.
  • Engage with Oracle support for patch management, bug fixes, and optimization of OFSAA/ AFCS/ Insurance Analyzer components.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle OFSAA implementation, with at least 4-6 years leading Insurance Analyzer and/or AFCS/ OFSAA projects.
  • Strong understanding of insurance-specific data model required for reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, ODI, Oracle database performance tuning, and financial data modeling.
  • Experience integrating OFSAA/Insurance Analyzer with ERP systems and accounting sub-ledgers.
  • Deep knowledge of OFSAA metadata, allocation engine, batch framework, and reporting tools.

Key Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with developing data model, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including deployment and management of OFSAA, AFCS and Insurance Analyzer
  • Familiarity with insurance data modeling principles.
  • Certification in Oracle OFSAA and/or prior involvement in IFRS 17 insurance implementations is a plus
  • Strong project leadership, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

The Company is open to considering candidates in Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s Princeton location.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $141,800 - $207,900 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.  In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). 

The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
