Reinsurance Accounting - Financial Accountant - IFRS 17 (m/f/d)*

Within this dynamic environment, the Global Life & Health Team – International Office Collaboration and Life & Health Accounting Guidance - is responsible for the interface to the international Life & Health accounting departments, providing accounting support and holding an oversight function for the local technical accounting processes.

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to strengthen our team. As Financial Accountant you can look forward to a broad and challenging range of responsibilities with many opportunities for your development. You will act as main contact for the local accounting departments and will be responsible for supporting and providing guidance for IFRS 17 to local accounting departments (International Offices) and act as a main contact within the IFRS 17 closing process.

Within our hybrid working model you will report to your Head of Section within our Global Life Accounting Department.

Your Job

• Establishing close ties with International Offices and provide high quality accounting support
• Coordinating the accounting part of the IFRS 17 closing process within the Life & Health segment in close collaboration with the local accounting departments
• You act as a main contact for all questions regarding IFRS 17 and as an interface towards other central finance functions
• You dig deep into IFRS 17 results, performing in-depth analyses and dedicated quality assurance controls. 
• Development, enhancement and enforcement of the Life & Health accounting work instruction framework, including the quality assurance (QA Essentials) framework for IFRS 17
• Fostering strong team relationships by being approachable and supportive, effectively delegating tasks, and assisting the team with day-to-day activities to ensure a collaborative and productive work environment

Your Profile

• University degree in a quantitative field; minimum of three years of professional experience in the finance department
• Deep accounting knowledge within the IFRS 17 accounting standard
• SAP-FPSL knowledge is a plus
• Very good command of written and spoken English
• Distinct willingness for change and overcoming obstacles with high team spirit and enthusiasm
• Excellent analytical skills, good problem-solving abilities and conceptual skills combined with an ability to explain complex interrelationships in an understandable way
