For our Primary Insurance activities, we are looking for a Primary Insurance Claims Consultant to strengthen our Motor claims function. This role is offered on a fixed‑term contract for 12 months. In this position, you will play a key part in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient claims handling, working closely with internal teams and external partners, and contributing to fair outcomes for clients while safeguarding the company’s risk and financial exposure.

Your Job

As a Primary Insurance Claims Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing claims activities within the Motor insurance sector, ensuring compliance, quality, and efficiency throughout the claims lifecycle.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and monitoring claims handling activities for the Motor portfolio.
• Interacting and coordinating with outsourcers, brokers, service providers, and internal stakeholders involved in the claims process.
• Reviewing and assessing information related to the nature, coverage, and circumstances of claims.
• Analyzing insurance contracts, policy wordings, and supporting documentation to evaluate claim validity in line with regulations and industry standards.
• Ensuring that claims policies, procedures, and controls are correctly and consistently applied.
• Investigating, evaluating, and settling claims using technical expertise, sound judgment, and negotiation skills to reach fair and timely resolutions.
• Developing and implementing claim resolution strategies, including for complex or high-value cases.
• Recommending, setting, and maintaining appropriate technical reserves.
• Identifying errors, risks, or process inefficiencies and proposing improvements and corrective actions.
• Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines, reporting requirements, and Munich Re Group standards.

Your Profile

• Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience in primary insurance claims handling, preferably within the Motor line of business.
• Solid knowledge of insurance contracts, policy wordings, and claims-related regulations.
• Experience working with outsourced claims handlers and third-party service providers.
• Proven ability to manage claims with a structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented approach, including complex cases.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with multiple stakeholders.
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a professional and international environment.
• Fluency in Italian and English is required.
