About the Role
As the People Data & Analytics Intern, you will play a hands‑on role in shaping how American Modern uses HR data to guide strategic priorities across our workforce. You’ll dig into multiple systems, help streamline and automate reporting, and partner with HR leaders to support real initiatives that matter to our employees and leaders.
This is a meaningful internship. You’ll be treated as an emerging data professional thinking critically, solving problems, and contributing to projects that have real business impact.
What You’ll Work On
- Exploring and analyzing HR and people‑data sets across multiple platforms.
- Creating dashboards, visualizations, and trend analyses to support talent planning and workforce strategy.
- Helping streamline and automate recurring HR reporting processes.
- Supporting the development of insights that align with American Modern’s strategic priorities.
- Collaborating with HR and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver value‑added solutions.
Who We’re Looking For
- A rising senior pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics or similar.
- Someone excited by data, automation, and making insights understandable for others.
- Experience in tools such as Excel and Power BI with a passion for learning and exploring.
- A critical thinker who asks great questions and isn’t afraid to explore new systems.
- Strong communication skills—you’ll be translating data into narratives and recommendations.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to contribute to meaningful HR strategy work.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
- Authorized to work in the United States of America
- Candidates must be local (Cincinnati, OH) and will work in the office at least 2 days a week
