American Modern Insurance Group is recruiting for a Financial Analyst.  The Financial Analyst plays a critical role for the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, and is responsible for analyzing data and trends, identifying variances to plan, highlighting potential areas of opportunity, and forecasting future results.

As a Financial Analyst, you’ll:

• Generate and analyze financial reports that show actual results compared to prior year and plan
• Collaborate with others in and outside of FP&A as you research variances and trends
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the monthly and long range financial plans
• Participate in projects and initiatives to increase transparency of result drivers
• Ad hoc analyses and presentations of results, plans, and forecasts

This position may be a good fit, if you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or advanced degree and/or CPA or CFA
• Candidates must be located in or near Cincinnati, OH
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a controls framework mindset
• An ability to relate numbers to ideas.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to be able to discuss financial report concepts with non-experts.
• Strategic mindset and drives results.
• Some experience with financial analysis and presentations
