Location: Palo Alto, CA (hybrid)
ERGO NEXT's mission is to help entrepreneurs thrive. We’re doing that by building the only technology-led, full-stack provider of small business insurance in the industry, taking on the entire value chain and transforming the customer experience.
Simply put, wherever you find small businesses, you’ll find ERGO NEXT.
Since 2016, we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of small business customers across the United States get fast, customized and affordable coverage. We’re backed by industry leaders in insurance and tech, and we still have room to grow — that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a Corporate Finance Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This individual will independently manage financial projects, build and maintain complex financial models, and play a key role in producing high-impact presentation materials for executive and board-level audiences. If you’re skilled in financial modeling, presentation creation, and excited about leveraging technology to drive forecasts, you’ll thrive here!
What you’ll do:
- Lead and manage financial projects independently from planning to execution.
- Build, maintain, and enhance complex financial and forecasting models to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop executive-level presentation materials, including board decks, financial commentary, and visualizations that clearly communicate financial insights.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on financial goals and deliverables.
- Utilize forecasting and planning tools to support company-wide financial initiatives and enhance predictive accuracy.
- Support long-range and annual financial planning processes including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow modeling.
- Assist in due diligence, fundraising, and other strategic finance initiatives as needed.
What we need:
- BA/BS in finance, accounting, economics or a quantitative discipline (Masters is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related field, ideally in a SaaS or tech-driven company.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced skills in presentation design and storytelling for executive audiences.
- Strong command of financial modeling, analysis, and a deep understanding of all three financial statements.
- Experience with forecasting tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Anaplan) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
- Technologically savvy with the ability to quickly grasp new tools and systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
